Iranian media: US refuses to unfreeze 25% of Iran's frozen funds

en
On May 17, according to Fars News, the US rejected Iran's request to unfreeze 25% of its frozen funds in its response. It is understood that the US listed five key conditions in its response to Iran's proposal: the US will not pay any compensation or war reparations; Iran will transfer 400 kg of enriched uranium out of the country to the US; Iran will only be allowed to keep one nuclear facility operational; the US refuses to unfreeze Iran's frozen assets; and a ceasefire on all fronts must be a prerequisite for negotiations. The report emphasizes that even if Iran meets the above conditions, the threat of attacks on Iran by the US and Israel will persist. Analysts quoted in the report pointed out that the US proposal is not aimed at solving the problem, but rather at achieving its political and military goals through negotiation, which it failed to achieve during the war.
