Nvidia Invests Billions in AI Startup Safe Superintelligence and Forms Long-Term Partnership

July 28th, according to the Financial Times, NVIDIA announced a long-term partnership with Safe Superintelligence (SSI), an AI startup founded by OpenAI co-founder Ilya Sutskever, and will invest billions of dollars to support the company's expansion of AI computing power infrastructure.
SSI stated that it will adopt NVIDIA's latest generation Vera Rubin platform, increasing its available computing power tenfold within the next 12 months to advance its undisclosed AI research breakthroughs. SSI currently has only dozens of employees and previously completed $2 billion in financing in 2025, with a valuation of $32 billion, including investors such as Andreessen Horowitz and Lightspeed Venture Partners. This collaboration further strengthens NVIDIA's strategic partnerships with leading AI model developers.
