Ethereum Institutional Completes First Round of Ecosystem Financing, Forms Alliance of 100 Institutional Supporters

Ethereum Institutional, a non-profit organization, announced the completion of its first round of ecosystem financing and the formation of a supporter alliance. Core contributors include BitMNR, Sharplink, Ethereum co-founder Joseph Lubin, and Mihai Alisie. Participants include over 100 individuals and crypto-native institutions such as Aave, Arbitrum, Circle, Consensys, DefiLlama, EigenLayer ecosystem participants, Flashbots, Ledger, Lido, Linea, Optimism, Uniswap Labs, and zkSync. The goal is to accelerate institutional adoption of Ethereum in areas such as banking, asset management companies, custodians, financial infrastructure, and sovereign institutions. The organization will collaborate with L2s, application teams, infrastructure, and custody service providers to advance related work and will recruit regional heads and embed engineers in banks in multiple locations globally to promote the implementation of Proofs of Concept (PoCs).
