American Arbitration Association Launches Specialized Expert Pool for Web3 Dispute Resolution

On July 29, according to PR Newswire, the American Arbitration Association (AAA) has launched its Web3 Panel, establishing a roster of arbitration experts specifically to handle disputes related to smart contracts, blockchain, digital assets, tokenization, decentralized systems, and agentic commerce. The Panel will focus on issues such as contract formation and interpretation, governance, asset control, cybersecurity, transaction records, and cross-border enforcement. The initial members include Dr. Kabir Duggal, partner at Akin Gump; David L. Evans, attorney at Murphy & King; David A. Hoffman, professor at the University of Pennsylvania Law School; Paula Pendley, partner at Nelson Mullins; and Rich Widmann, Head of Web3 at Google Cloud. The AAA stated that it will continue to expand the Panel to support the dispute resolution needs of automated and AI-powered commerce.
