TON native token to be renamed Gram, TON blockchain name remains unchanged

Telegram founder Pavel Durov announced on his personal channel on June 1st that the native token of the TON ecosystem will gradually change its name from "Toncoin (TON)" to "Gram". Gram was the original name of the native currency designed in TON's earliest white paper. This rebranding is officially defined as a "return to the original intention" and marks the beginning of a new phase of ecosystem development. The official statement indicates that the renaming process is expected to take approximately 3 weeks, during which the token name, wallet displays, and related ecosystem services will be switched over sequentially. TON will remain as the name of the blockchain network and will not change. This renaming is the fourth step in the "Make TON Great Again (MTGA)" seven-step plan.
