Ministry of State Security Issues Warning on "Lobster" Open-Source AI Tool, Citing Multiple Security Risks

OpenClaw, an open-source AI agent tool, faces risks such as host takeover, data leakage, content tampering, and technical vulnerabilities when integrating communication software with large models and autonomously executing tasks with high privileges. The article points out that users often grant "Claw" the highest system privileges and entrust it with sensitive data. If exploited by attackers through malicious plugin poisoning or remote control, it could lead to illegal device manipulation, damage to privacy and property, and even its use for spreading misinformation and fraud. The Ministry of State Security advises users to conduct security checks for "Claw," adhere to the principle of least privilege, run it in isolated environments, encrypt sensitive data, and treat it as a "digital employee" requiring compliant, secure, and controllable management.
