Turkish Parliament Removes Cryptocurrency Tax Clause, Originally Planned 0.3% Transaction Tax

The deleted provisions originally intended to impose a 0.3% transaction tax on cryptocurrency sales and transfers conducted through service providers, and to tax cryptocurrency gains, primarily through withholding at source. Although these provisions have been removed from the current draft, officials stated that revised versions may be resubmitted to parliament in the form of separate legislative proposals.
