SlowMist Warns: Recruitment Scams Exploit Fake AI Conference Tools to Steal Web3 Practitioner Data

en
On July 29, according to a security alert released by SlowMist, its MistEye system detected a recruitment scam targeting Web3 practitioners. Attackers impersonated recruiters and tricked victims into installing an AI meeting tool called "Relay," which is actually malware. This malicious program targets both macOS and Windows users, attempting to steal sensitive information such as browser credentials, wallet-related information, Keychain data, and Telegram sessions. SlowMist has analyzed the sample and disclosed the details of the attack chain, reminding users to be cautious when installing software during online interviews or recruitment processes and to avoid executing unverified applications.
