Nvidia founder and CEO Jensen Huang posted again on the X platform on July 27, stating that attackers have mastered cutting-edge AI, and defenders need a "cutting-edge AI ecosystem" composed of both open-source and closed-source cutting-edge models, and to amplify defense capabilities through the global community. He mentioned that in the previous Hugging Face security incident, some closed-source AI hindered critical forensics, while open-weight cutting-edge models played a role in curbing the intrusion, thus deciding to promote this open secure AI alliance. Earlier today, Nvidia announced the establishment of the Open Secure AI Alliance with several founding members to promote AI security and safety.
