Bitpanda Launches Public Chain Vision Chain to Connect EU Banks and Tokenized Assets
en
On March 25, according to CoinDesk, Austrian crypto broker Bitpanda has launched a new public chain, Vision Chain, targeting European banks and fintech companies. This chain is designed for issuing and settling tokenized assets under regulatory frameworks such as MiCA and MiFID II. The network is built on Optimism's Ethereum infrastructure and uses a compliant Euro stablecoin for paying on-chain transaction fees, aiming to mitigate the risk of price volatility associated with native public chain tokens. Bitpanda stated that Vision Chain aims to provide traditional brokers, banks, and other institutions with a 24/7 trading and settlement infrastructure for tokenized securities, thereby promoting the on-chain tokenization of traditional assets like stocks and funds.
