Trump administration reportedly pushed for new $250 bill featuring his portrait

According to The Washington Post, multiple Trump administration appointees pressured the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, which prints U.S. dollars, to design a new $250 bill featuring a portrait and signature of Trump. This would have made him the first living person to appear on U.S. currency in over 150 years. Four current and former employees stated that officials provided draft designs to Bureau of Engraving and Printing staff in August last year. A printing supervisor who refused to cooperate was recently reassigned and stated in a farewell letter, "My responsibility ends with me."
