Anza introduces the Constellation protocol, enabling a 50-millisecond block cycle and a multi-concurrency proposer mechanism.

On March 26th, Anza, the core development team of Solana, launched the Constellation protocol. This multi-concurrent proposer protocol reduces Solana's block cycle to 50 milliseconds, making it the blockchain with the fastest economic takt time at the protocol level. The protocol replaces the single-leader model, eliminating exclusive control over transaction inclusion and ordering through concurrent proposers. This enforces fairness at the protocol level without relying on trusted third parties or modifying clients, while keeping the validator economic model largely unchanged.
