A new US-based crypto political action committee, Defend Developers, has been formed, focusing on legal protection for developers.

On June 4th, CoinDesk reported that a new political action committee (PAC) called Defend Developers has been established in the United States. The PAC aims to support incumbent legislators who are advocating for legal protections for crypto developers. This hybrid PAC enables direct donations to candidates and also accepts unlimited corporate contributions for independent advertising. Gavin Zavatone, the founder, stated that the PAC intends to raise and contribute over six figures during the midterm elections, supporting numerous key campaigns, as crypto experts require representation in Congress. The board members of the PAC include representatives from Uniswap Labs, the DeFi Education Foundation, and the Solana Policy Institute. Compared to super PACs like Fairshake, which have multi-million dollar funding, this PAC is smaller.
